Tree Removals and Felling

Tree Removal

Directional Felling : Cutting down a tree in a desired strategic direction. If safe and clear, the entire tree can be felled. It is then cut into smaller pieces for the clean-up process if that is what's needed.

Climbing Takedown: Best for situations where heavy machinery would damage property, won't fit, or makes the project too expensive. Climbing and reducing a tree down by sections is usually the best practical and cost-effective option for carefully removing a tree surrounded by obstacles in all directions, that cannot be felled whole. Rigging equipment is applied in situations that require everything to come down softly to avoid turf damage and unexpected bouncing or rolling.

Clean Up : You choose the clean-up/haul-away procedure from given options.

Tree Trimming and Pruning

Trimming

Trimming : Cuts made to alter the size or shape of a tree for purely visual aesthetic purposes, or for safety/protective reasons on a property.

Pruning : Cuts made to improve the overall health and structure of a tree by removing damaged, dead, diseased, or rubbing/abrasion branches.

Rope-only(no spikes) climbing is done in both scenarios. Spiking into a tree for pruning or trimming purposes will harm the tree.

Site Clean-Up / Hauling

Clean Up

The clean-up option that you choose below impacts the job price:

  1. leave everything where it lands
  2. partial clean-up
  3. full clean-up

Choose the clean-up process that you want Tree Fellow to perform. Some customers choose a full clean-up/haul-away option. Some choose to do the clean up work themselves to significantly reduce the job price, or want the timber to feed the forest floor.
